Located 80 miles west of our Nation’s Capital, family-owned F.T. Valley Farm is the perfect destination if you’re looking for fresh country air and local charm. From the town of Sperryville, you’ll head six miles south along Route 231, passing rolling hills and grazing horses with miles and miles of Blue Ridge Mountains as the backdrop. Aptly christened one of Virginia’s Scenic Byways, F.T. Valley Road (Rt. 231) will take your breath away with its views. Our farm is easy to find as you’ll see our high deer fences and rows of apple trees as you approach.

Wake up early, pack a lunch and lots of water and hit the trail. Old Rag Mountain is one of Virginia’s most challenging hikes and offers extraordinary views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. In this nine mile trek, there is a significant elevation change and a strenuous rock scramble that requires good upper body strength.
Or, if you’re in the mood for some exercise and fresh air but would prefer a half-day excursion, try White Oak Canyon.
Our first apples of the season will be ready for picking in late August.
