Located 80 miles west of our Nation’s Capital, family-owned F. T. Valley Farm is the perfect destination if you’re looking for fresh country air and local charm. From the town of Sperryville, you’ll head six miles south along Route 231, passing rolling hills and grazing horses with miles and miles of Blue Ridge Mountains as the backdrop. Aptly christened one of Virginia’s Scenic Byways, F.T. Valley Road (Rt. 231) will take your breath away with its views. Be prepared to step off the grid! Cell coverage is spotty and we do not offer public wifi. Looking to get your kids off their phones? F. T. Valley Farm is the perfect destination! 🙂
our market is fully-stocked with freshly picked peaches, apples, hard cider, and grass-fed beef. No PYO currently.
Due to a late season freeze, we lost 100% of our peach crop and most of our apple crop this season. As a result, we are unable to offer pick your own fruit at this time.
We do, however, have peaches, nectarines, and apples available in the market which we have sourced from orchards southwest of Charlottesville.
We also have warm, delicious apple cider doughnuts, freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies and other seasonal baked goods. See below for a list of many of the other items that we carry in the market.

Woody brings the sounds of banjo, guitar, and harmonica to the stage, with music ranging from 1970s outlaw country to the 1960s folk revival.

Take in the mountain views with a refreshing hard cider, now on tap in our market. We’ve partnered with some of Virginia’s finest cider makers to offer a selection of locally crafted ciders that are perfect for enjoying after a day of exploring the area.
On Tap
- Sage Bird Ciderworks (Harrisonburg, VA): Day Hiker (4%), Hewes Crab (9.5%), Rock Town (5.1%), and Dry River (7.4%)
- F. T. Valley’s Kilby Creek Cider (7%), crafted exclusively for us by our friends at DuCard Vineyards using our F. T. Valley apples
We also carry a selection of Sage Bird ciders in bottles and cans, including Harrison, Folklore, Primitive, Rock Town, and Day Hiker. If you’re looking for non-alcoholic options, we’ve got you covered with our cold, delicious F. T. Valley Peach Slushies on tap, along with a variety of other seasonal beverages.

Mark your calendar: We have lots of local musicians lined up this season for your enjoyment. The September Sunset Concert Series kicks off Friday, Sept 4 with Christman “Woody” Wood, playing on the porch. Whether you’re winding down after a hike in the Shenandoah National Park or stopping by the market to pick up fresh peaches, stay for a while and relax with some live tunes and a cold glass of cider or a frozen slushie.

Our market is also stocked with our F. T. Valley Farm grass-fed beef, Stoned Creek pork, Whiffletree free-range chicken, local eggs, bacon, and sausage. You’ll also find shelves filled with small-batch favorites like apple butter, applesauce, peach salsa, barbecue sauce, and pasta sauce — all made in small batches locally by our friends at Shawnee Springs.
We’re proud to support local producers and offer goods made with fresh, whole ingredients. Honey lovers will appreciate Windsong Apiaries, Samband Honey and Rappahannock Arboreal Raw Honey — as close to the hive as it gets.
Looking for snacks to fuel your hike? Grab a bag of Gardens of Khmet trail mix or some savory dried tomatoes. We also carry healthy, small-batch dog treats from Whitney’s Wholesome Biscotti for your four-legged companions.
Our market features a rotating collection of hand-crafted soaps, candles, pottery, and baskets, along with original artwork by Judy Heiser and other talented local artists — most of which are available for purchase.
